the owner loves his ww2 memoribilia but has collected quite a few objects from auctions with terrible imagery i will not be displaying even if its intended for "artistic" use

Gilman Mine in Colorado was opened in the late 1870s. Due to toxic pollutants it was declared a hazard in 1984. The Eagle River which ran through it turned the color of a ripe tangerine and many families were given 24 hours to evacuate. Today its closed and under the constant surveillance of the local sheriff--only accessible having a getaway car drop you off the side of a steep mountain, or entering throrugh a near-abandoned town and hiking two miles on train tracks. (i opted for the latter.) Besides what's been looted in past years, it remains the same, littered with the gravestones of young miners.
